Accountant
The position:
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who is seeking a career in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to become a member of our professional team. We are seeking to recruit an Accountant for the Finance Department.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and maintain accounting entries using the company’s accounting software
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconciliations of accounts with external and internal creditors, as well as customers
- Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT, INTRASTAT, and VIES declarations
- Prepare and verify invoices, payments, and financial documentation to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner
- Monitor and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
- Provide administrative and financial support to different departments within the company as required
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders during audits, inspections, and other day to day requirements
- Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or in any other relevant field
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Greek
- Very Good Knowledge of MS Office, emphasis in Excel and Outlook
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Dynamic, proactive, and team-oriented individual with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
